About the Land:
The Chuyapi-Urusayuha region near Cusco, Peru is an 80 million year old cloud forest in the Amazon that is part of the last 1% of cloud forests that remain globally. Peru is the fourth largest rainforest country in the world, and its Amazon forests are one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. The plot being conserved features steep mountainside ranging in altitude from 3,000-14,400 feet above sea level, making it an ideal habitat for species to shift altitude as temperature regions change due to climate change.
